The Entrepreneurship Development Program by FINPLAN is aimed to enhance Skills & Expertise to commence a Start-up Business, to expand a Family Owned Business or extend career as an Entrepreneurial Manager.

A Bankable Detailed Project Report (DPR) needs to be prepared by the participants with regard to their ventures after conducting a thorough market research and secondary data based research along with IT based applications. The final project report is prepared in a competitive format and is assessed by panel of experts comprising of faculty, industry experts and bankers. A presentation cum examination for the final report will then be organized.
Business simulations are used for business acumen training and development. It helps in engaging people so they can make decisions; deal with risk consequences as well as solve problems creates a rich learning environment. Learning objectives include: strategic thinking, financial analysis, market analysis, operations, teamwork and leadership. FINPLAN along with EDII provides the simulation experience to FINPLAN students on Mikes Bikes-Advanced business strategy and Sim Venture -A unique business plan simulation
Eminent entrepreneurs from various industries are invited regularly to share their experiences with the students. This helps students to learn from the challenges that the entrepreneurs faced and develop a better understanding with clarity on market dynamics and opportunities
A guided industry visit is scheduled each trimester for the students. The aim of these visits is to help students to get the exposure of an actual working environment. A tour to various departments, plants etc. is scheduled and students are briefed about various operations, functions, maintenance of the unit.

PROGRAM SYLLABUS
The SEP follows a 3Es entrepreneurship program education Model. The program is divided in 3 levels as follows:
This level covers a strong foundation on the fundamental principles that develop an entrepreneur within you. The motivation insights and the need of creating an unique product or service to cater the market place, opportunity sensing, business canvas preparation, understanding various government schemes and compliance framework and attitude management with respect to risk taking abilities for developing a core entrepreneurial personality are the learning covered within this level.
This level focuses on the scope of understanding the importance and utility of various components within an organization. Understanding business departments like Human Resource Management, Innovation and Research, Accounting & Finance, Marketing and Sales, Information Technology: its implementation, formulation and management to help smooth functioning of the business process and complimenting the overall value chain to achieve a desired business output are the learning covered within this level. Product or service creation, innovation and research management, creating prototypes, market feasibility & customer offerings are also part of this level.
This level convers an in-depth development of the entrepreneur’s skills and technical knowledge to launch the business in the market place. Developing the core strategy for customer acquision, financing, human resource management, business launch and expansion and tools for setting business control and monitoring are a part of this module. This level also covers business simulation and expert consulting in the domain area of business which the student choses to develop its product / service offering. New enterprise financing and appraisals, business plan preparation and feasibility analysis along with legal aspects of business and taxation are a part of this level.
PROGRAM DURATION
The program is spread across the rigorous training session of 10 months conducted on weekends to suit the timing schedule for students who are attending their formal education or working in existing job roles.
The program covers learning across the week by participants attending the face to face learning and mentoring session on weekends and brainstorming and processing their learning on their respective business ideas.
The participants also can access incubation centre for creating , research and brainstorming their business understanding across the week at the campus.
